Dylan1 September 2024Our stay was lovely and absolutely perfect. We adored the cottage and walking the countryside. Thank you so much!Julie25 August 2024We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bailey Cottage which is both homely and tastefully furnished. Can recommend!David22 August 2024Wonderful stay in the perfect location and exceeded every expectation. We will be back and when we are will be staying at Lydia’s!Emine19 August 2024We had a great stay at this lovely renovated cottage. We found everything we needed during our stay. Lovely decorated house, quiet and lovely neighbourhood, very comfortable beds, and very convenient for the things we wanted to do. Highly recommend it.Kathy3 August 2024Lovely cottage. On three floors which we hadn't known. Top floor bedroom got very hot, window was velux so had to be shut if any rain. Very comfy beds, lovely duvets and pillows, we all slept well. The kitchen had everything we could have required.Bathroom had good shower with plenty of hot water and toiletries provided. Lovely big, soft bath towels.Gargrave is a beautiful village and offers easy access to the area, with several pubs and restaurants easily accessible, information provided by Lydia in her helpful folder. There is no onsite parking tho the Airbnb site says there is, but we always managed to park close to the cottage, road not a busy one.We really enjoyed our stay and would use again.Carey21 July 2024A beautiful renovated cottage and surprisingly spacious for a terrace house. Fabulous features. Beautiful comfy beds and bed linens - smelt amazing! Location was faultless. Access to the Dales, walks in the village, pub, restaurant and supermarket all minutes away. Excellent train/bus services to Leeds/Skipton. Thank you for providing toilet rolls, coffee etc. Much appreciated. Attention to detail for cleaning lacking a little. Bits of food on floor of kitchen/toaster crumbs and quite a lot of cobwebs if you look around. Bathroom was fab and spotless but toilet seat moved/did not quite fit? No hanging space on top floor. My only reasons for not going excellent as everything else about our stay was amazing - thank you. We will be back.June12 July 2024Bailey Cottage is absolutely stunning! Lovely location , ticked away.. the cottage itself has everything you need. Beds super comfy and the list goes on! Everything on your doorstep. The local chippy and Hollywood cottage are a must. Good Roast at The Masons. Very busy week here there and everywhere. Really enjoyed Skipton Castle. Train trip over the viaduct to Appleby and back. Loads of great walks. Cheese factory. Sad to leave Bailey Cottage and Gargrave itself. We will be back!Blair23 June 2024Located in the heart of Gargrave but away from the traffic noise this was a good base for walking and local eateries such as fish and chips as well as a choice of pubs. Well equipped and spacious for the two of us. There was plenty of walking available with different routes which made it ideal to leave the car and explore. Why not 5/5? The small fridge had the door shelf missing which limited the storage. Although we had wonderful weather for the duration of the stay there is a small bench to sit out within the courtyard. Unfortunately the area is shared with a neighbour who placed washing out all day bar one day which blocked the sun and views restricting us from using it. Instead we walked to the other side of the river, approximately 500 metres and used the village recreational areas there.Peter16 June 2024Lydia's cottage is a wonderful place to stay, it is comfortable, homey and very well appointed. All the details are done well - the King bed on the first floor was very comfortable, the linens and towels are high quality, and the kitchen was well equipped, including 6 matching proper wine glasses!. The space was very clean upon arrival. The location is right in Gargrave village, and the Pennine Way and Leeds-Liverpool canal towpath are both within a few minutes walk from the cottage, so there is very convenient access to good walking. Lydia always replied very quickly and is a pleasure to work with..Kelly2 June 2024A beautiful cottage in a lovely setting.Load more
Jim31 August 202410Lovely Cottage in a great location - will stay again ☺ Excellent location and easy parking near the property. Good wifi, TV and very clean. ☹ Lack of clothes hangers in a couple of the bedrooms.John13 August 20249.0Lovely cottage in a great location ☺ Superbly renovated and fitted out cottage. All rooms were very comfortable, the shower was very good with quality toiletries. Kitchen had everything one needed including tea and Nespresso coffee. A small amount of milk would have been nice on arrival though. Great free wifi and smart TV. Good communications with host, Lydia. Village was quiet and had a good Co-op. Bollywood Cottage, Mason Arms and The Frying Yorkshireman were all great for food. We were able to park our three motorcycles outside the cottage on the road and they were very safe. Great base for biking in the Dales!E4 August 20248.0Very GoodColin19 July 202410Excellent ☺ Extremely well presented cottage in an excellent location. Very comfortable bed . Well equipped with everything you need. The cottage has been tastefully renovated to a very high standard, and it's a pleasure to stay there. Thank you for the flowers and fresh farm eggs waiting for us on arrival. ☹ The only thing I didn't like were the stained pillows. Pillow protectors would be a good idea.Lisa16 July 202410Fabulous cottage in the Yorkshire Dales. We had good meals at the Swan and Bollywood, as well as enjoying drinks at the Mason Arms. Comfy beds. Very good communication from the host. ☹ We found it strange that the temperature was controlled by the host but when we asked for it to be made warmer they did.Kooberin17 May 20249.0Great ☺ EverythingJoshua10 May 202410Fantastic and memorable ☺ Homeliness, quality of decorating, location ☹ NothingStephenwn3 May 20249.0Delightful comfortable cottage stay in excellent location for the Dales. ☺ Comfortable bed and pillows.
